Antica Cina, la Gilda della Pietra Oscura trafuga parte delle spoglie
di un monaco buddista. Durante l'operazione, una di loro, Drizzle, tradisce e scappa
con le spoglie che, si dice, abbiano grandi poteri.
Dopo il furto si incontra con un monaco che ha amato, il quale le mostra la futilitÃ
del suo gesto e nel farlo muore. Pentita, la donna nasconde il bottino e si fa operare
per cambiare volto e dimenticare quella vita.
Nel villaggio dove va a nascondersi, incontra un uomo semplice, che a fatica conquista
un posto nel suo cuore e al quale non rivela nulla del suo avventuroso passato.
Intanto gli altri membri della gilda della Pietra Oscura, continuano a cercarla e,
a seguito di una rissa in cui Drizzle e' accidentalmente coinvolta, scoprono la sua presenza
nel villaggio. Ora stara' a lei proteggere se stessa e il suo nuovo amore fino all'inevitabile
scontro finale.
